Yes, more shots of Tokyo

Here are some more shots that I just couldn't resist putting up on the blog. Our last night in Tokyo we went out with two really good old friends, Mark and Rich. Mark is a native Californian who moved to Tokyo after visiting several times from his former hometown of Paris. I believe that he is working on his Ph.D. in film, which focuses heavily on certain Japanese directors. He now has a wife and daughter in Tokyo. I've known Rich for a good many years, we used to work together and go drinking in Kabukicho and Golden Gai in Shinjuku. Rich is just awesome; besides being an incredible teacher, he's a great guitarist and probably has the best knowledge of foreign horror movies of anyone I've ever met.

Mark has a message for Rich.

The happy gaijin.

Edie in Shibuya. She just looooooved the 109 building. (yeah, right.)

I loved this Wii ad, kind of overwhelming.

One of the ubiquitous Tokyo crows, the huge ones that drag full trash bags across the street.

Edie having her incredible Korean kimchee ramen at my favorite Thai restaurant, Bamboo, in Omotesando.
