Living in Silverlake

I'm back in LA to find an apartment. I found a good one in Silverlake, a pretty cool neighborhood east of Hollywood. I've included some photos of the building, the great park across the street, and our neighborhood.



The apartment complex is really pet-friendly, which is definitely good for Thea. However, Edie has yet to see it, which puts al of the pressure on me. Here are some shots of the neighborhood.





After signing the lease on Friday, I had some free time until my plane left on Monday. I met my old friend Yoko Kato, who's now living in Long Beach, her younger sister and Ethan, Yoko's boyfriend, at the Getty Museum. I'd visited it before when it first opened, but it's such a beautiful place, I never mind hanging out there.







This morning I helped my friend Dawn move her table and we had brunch at a great place in Eagle Rock called Auntie Em's. Here's a shot of her cherry blossom painting.



So, Edie and I will be out here in two weeks, I can't wait...
