Yoga and Roller Derby

Last weekend was terrific, I took Edie to see the Tallahassee Rollergirls go up against Tampa Bay at the roller derby rink last Saturday night. It was fantastic, there's always such a good atmosphere at the matches. My friend Natalie who cuts my hair rolls with the Girls, and she's totally awesome. Edie was kind of transfigured by the whole thing, and mentioned that if she were a little more athletic, she'd totally be doing it.



Meanwhile, on Sunday morning we both got back into doing Bryan Kest's version of ashtanga yoga. This is the guy who used to teach Brad and myself when I lived in Santa Monica back in 1999. He's pretty amazing, and I remember David Duchovny and Angelica Huston showing up in class from time to time. One thing I'm looking forward to is going back to his class when we move back to LA. I even did it before work this morning, it was great.
