A very nice Friday
Edie and I had such a great day yesterday. We got up early around 6 to take Thea for a walk up to Runyon Park in the Hollywood Hills. It was cloudy and misty, and the park is way up high in the hills so you get a fantastic view of the city below. We could see the river of lights that was the 101, as people drove to and from the valley to get to work.
Back home for breakfast and a nap, then I got a call from a local charter school asking if I could do sub work for them while I'm studying for my teaching credential, so that was really nice. Then we went to see "3:10 to Yuma" at the Los Feliz 3, and wow- that movie is really, really well done. I realize that it's a remake, but it's really good. The pace is unrelenting and the plot is very tight.
Then off to Bed Bath and Beyond for a coffee press to celebrate my return to drinking caffeine (I was wired all afternoon after my first cup in almost a year), then we had a nice Thai dinner at the cheap restaurant close to our place whose name escapes me at the moment. I had the red curry with rice and a Singha. All in all a perfect Friday.
