Hiking Mt. Cahuenga and Surfing Point Dume

Edie's mother Gail is visiting for a few days and we hiked up behind the Hollywood sign off Mt. Lee and Mt. Cahuenga yesterday morning. It was a beautiful, sunny day and managed to get going before it got too hot.

This morning we got up at 4:30 and were out at Point Dume by 6:30. The water was cold, but the waves were niiiiiice. It was Gail's introduction to the Pacific Ocean, and as she and Edie walked the beach, I did my best to catch some good waves.

These waves were so much fun, and I was the only surfer out there, for two hours no one showed up. I caught one after another, it was perfect.

Edie looks so good in this next photo.

I was totally beat and ready to come in by 8:30.

We went to breakfast at HOT in Venice Beach afterwards. All around a perfect morning.
