Edie and I go hiking above the clouds

Edie and I went hiking yesterday in the Angeles National Forest, climbing up a new path to the top of Mt. Williamson. It was a much better way to go, from the east side of the mountain on the Pacific Crest Trail- see the following photo:

In Los Angeles it was a cloudy and slightly rainy day, yet driving through the mountains at about 2000 feet, we broke out of the clouds and were able to see the tops of the peaks in an incredible, misty tableau. The next shot is looking south towards the LA Basin.

It was so much better leaving earlier in the morning, and we had a fantastic view of Antelope valley thousands of feet below. Edie is seen here finishing up her brunch.

Another shot of Edie, looking beautiful and radiant against the desert backdrop.

All in all, it was a great hike and made for a good Sunday morning. Next up- Mt. Baden-Powell.
