New job long term substitute

Well, I got a long term substitute teaching position, which in this economy I'll take in a heartbeat. I started teaching Expository Reading and Writing for seniors at the Stern Math and Science School for a teacher going on maternity leave. In January I'll take over World History for another teacher going on maternity leave at the same school.

The school is a small charter high school on the Cal State LA campus, and my seniors are great, real sweethearts. They work hard and are intelligent. The other teachers at the school are nice as well. It's so nice to be working in a stable environment for once, one that is not shifting from day to day. We are reading Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer, which is a great book, particularly for seniors getting ready to go to college.
